The Rockaways

It was recently reported that the Rockaway ferry pilot program, which was launched in May 2008, and provided service from Riis Landing to the Brooklyn Army Terminal to Wall Street, was set to end on March 19. Well, it looks like the Rockaway Ferry Gets Last-Minute Lifeline! OK, still very limited service for anyone that works real hours (not just a 9-5). Actually they will not only be 1 ferry each way.
